As I sit here typing on the computer I hear Josh outside cutting the grass(My Yard). Josh is the dude that we get to cut the grass when I am out of town or just too durn busy to do it myself. So here I am at home with not alot to do and I hear him out doing my job and my $ being spent. Now let me say for about 3 weeks now we have found a reason to call Josh because everytime I went to cut the grass the gas can was empty and I would say, I got to take that can and fill it so I can cut the grass but one thing led to the other and I would go out of town and yes the bride would call Josh and it would all be pretty when I got home. Well 2 weeks ago i finally left the house and was on the way to the gas station and I stopped, turned around and went back to the house just to get the can and took it with me so I would finally have gas for the mower. I brought it home and believe it or not I did get a little sick, not sick enough to not be able to cut the grass but wasn’t feeling 100% for sure. So I put off what should have been done, I guess, to long and yes before I know it Josh has done my job and now I thinking, I don’t even have the lack of gas to blame it on but, I’m sick, that’s it! So another week goes by and can you believe all the luck? I’m out of town and getting ready for this new CD to come out and she calls Josh again and I don’t think much about it and just let it go and it seemed to slip by to no one’s attention so…….
So this week the wife goes out of town and I am home for like 2 days all by myself. Nothing to do much except regular daily stuff and I’m thinking, man I am going to get on that yard before she gets home and make it all nice. I mean I got the gas and the time so I might as well knock it out!
The only issue I have to deal with is rain. It has been raining here like for 2 and half weeks every single day and cutting the grass with it so wet will be like wearing a lawn mower for swimming trunks, so I wait a day or so and hope for the best. Still have yet to use any of the gas I bought weeks ago mind you. The wife gets home last night, I pick her up at the airport and it was so good to see her. We go to dinner, come home and watch some TV and go to bed. Laying there I’m thinking I know it rained last night but maybe today while she is at work I can take care of this lagging ball and chain that I have been carrying now for WAY to long. Well the morning comes and she is up and rockin’ and off to work she goes and I am doing my normal morning things. I get done with my cereal and out of the shower and sit down to check email before trying to take care of the grass and what do I hear? Like I said earlier, Josh is hard at it!
Moral:
If you can’t keep gas in your can, at least keep Josh’s cell number in your speed dial!

I sit here this Monday morning and wonder what is it that creates the likes of things that happened last night on the awards show. I wasn’t even watching it. I was sitting in my chair wife by my side watching the Ladies tennis finals and computer in my lap surfin around and I see the word begin to spread. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evY2_Ibgai4 there ya go if you haven’t seen what I’m talking about. This Kanye West guy? What,who,why is this guy even in the music biz. I realize this guy is prolly talented and has sold some records and done well but was he like a runaway or something? Had no one,no parents ,no person of any authority in his life whatsoever? How else can it be explained how someone of what appears to be in a adult status possibly be that rude, disrespectful, mean, de-grading, embarrassing and just plain out stupid on a open stage in front of millions of people on Television in someone else’s spotlight? I have slept on it and for the life of me I can’t think of anything with any logic to it at all. Was he stoned,high,drunk or just plain stupid. Now here’s the deal. I’m not necessarily a fan of Kanye or Taylor or Beyonce but Taylor is a very VERY young girl on a very special magic carpet ride right now and the things that she is doing in this business has got to be respected no matter who you are. This girl is Rockin and doing what everyone at that awards show would like to be doing even Kanye West or he would not have been there unless he is stupid. Taylor handled it, I guess, as good as anyone could other than maybe Robin Williams and Beyonce did give her her moment back and because of all of this it could and will make me give Taylor, Beyonce and even Robin Williams another shot to make me a fan. For I have a spot in my fandom bag, shoot maybe even 2 spots. But see Kanye has not a shot. Cause see now I think he is stupid. We have all heard all of our life that you never stop learning and see one more time that comes true. In fact millions of us learned something all at the same time. We learned how it felt to be in the presence of a true blue, as real as it gets, Stupid person. See I bet most of us thought we knew but last night really taught us that we never knew, we just thought we did. Now we know for sure. It does sadden me that Taylor had to learn this is such a way, so early in life but she will be all the better for this lesson and so should the rest of us. I hope any of us never have to have this lesson again and Kanye West will be sent to a remote island deep in the pacific with a microphone and 2 pairs of sunglasses to spend the rest of his Stupid days and save us all from any more embarrassing, rude, disrespectful, mean, de-grading and Stupid moments. Course there is still Michael Moore, but let’s leave that for another day. If anyone has a better remedy please leave your suggestions in the comments.

Well I just got to tell you guys about this past weekend. As you probably know we played the inaugural night race in Atlanta Sunday night. I took my wife Deanna and my son Jacob with me and what a day and night we had. Haven’t seen that boy of mine smile that big since he got his PS3 for Christmas.We got to the track and right out of the shoot we took some laps in a pace car and Jacob sat right up front and was loving every minute of it. We hung out in the garage area a while and then we played our show at 5:30 but then the highlight of the day came. It was time for driver introductions and as they made their way to the stage one by one i could tell Jacob was really diggin it. Now he had met Tony Stewart before and talked with him and was wanting to see him again but I think he was in over load when all of them started showing up. We all wanted to see Tony, he has been our pal for a while and will always be #1 at our house but since I saw one of the first interviews with Marcos Ambrose I could just tell he was a good dude and I wanted to meet him. Now I have met several stars of all different kinds over the years and have learned that your impression of a person on TV and meeting them in person can be extremely different. That is one very vulnerable spot because that person you want to meet can very quickly let you down like nothing else and just destroy all the good you had been thinking about that person. The moment had come and I was meeting and talking with Marcos and I must tell you how happy I am to tell you that he is one of the nicest guys you can ever meet. Very sincere and likable from the instant you say Hello. He was so good to my boy it was just unreal. Just like that, he made life long fans. Amazing how that works isn’t it. I have said for years that it takes such a extra effort to be a jerk to people and comes so easy just to be “nice” ! Now don’t get me wrong. I know these guys are pulled at from every angle, from every person they see from the minute they come out in the open to the minute they go back to there private world. There is always someone saying”come on, just one more”. I know I know this is the price of fame,this is why they make the big bucks and the rest of those sayings but believe me after years of “one more” it can get old. I realize Marcos is new in Nascar but NOT racing and winning, still I don’t see this guy ever getting to be a jerk. It’s just not in his person. I even told him how much I appreciated his attitude and approach to his fans and the media. He talked with Jacob like he had known him and was truly interested in what his interest was. Fans for Life we are. Believe me, Marcos Ambrose deserves all of the success coming to him in the future and it is on the way.

When stars of any kind meet with their fans, at that very moment is the time that a “star” can make or break that person feelings toward them. Some don’t care what you think and for them I have these parting words. I heard Celine Dion say one time that she loves people and loves to talk and visit with them and when those days come that she wakes up not feeling well or in a bad mood and whatever the issue,that is the days that she does not meet with folks for if that is her feelings then she doesn’t deserve to meet those very precious fans so she takes a break. I say to you all if you feel the need to be a jerk to other folks then “Take A Break” that is our individual responsibility. Remember it takes much more effort to be a jerk! OK end of sermon.

Here it is,I’m going to say right here,right now where all can read. I am DONE with McDonald’s. They have had their last chance to make me fatter and unhealthy. Their burger meat makes me feel sick about 45 min. after I eat them. Their fries are WAYYYYY to salty and what exactly is a Mc Rib anyway? I have never won the monopoly game they play. I always get all of the ones I need except 1. I do get a ba-zillion of the same ones over and over. You can’t stop me and quit trying to change my mind, I’m thru, done, Ka-put! Now just drop it,let’s move on.
Don’t ya just love Law and Order:SVU. That’s got to be the best. I like some of the others but man SVU is really cool. You just got to love Mariska and Ice-T. Sweet or un-sweet you have to like Iced T. Not to mention you never see them eating at a McDonald’s. You know why? Cause their OVER them too. That fish sandwich and apple pie is mighty good though. Never know if you go to New York and go in a McDonald’s you could see Mariska sitting in a McDonald’s having a fish sandwich and a Ice-T. No, that’s it NO NO NO stop trying to change my mind,I am done with McDonald’s. Never again. ! I got to go this is just to upsetting. Oh Yeah SVU marathon on USA channel today. Dana

Ok, the clock went off @ 6:20am and I thought someone had shot a Tomahawk Missile off in my bedroom. Why is it that has never gotten better thru my entire life? I just don’t do mornings that’s just all there is to it. I got the kids to school got back and did 35 minutes on the elliptical on level 5 I might add. I know that don’t sound like much but for me, believe me it’s A LOT! Had breakfast and now sitting here writing this and watching the movie “Twister” on TV. I still like Helen Hunt, Fly Dorothy Fly!!!
Working on Podcast 2 today and hope to get Mike Clute over here to help me set a couple of things up. i need some reverb I tell ya! I got the fan page up and going last night and I want to really encourage you guys that care to participate as much as possible. We are going to Washington this week and then to the Atlanta Speedway to do a show and the National Anthem for the very first Nascar race under the lights in Atlanta. Go Tony #14 all the way baby! Here I sit on a Sunday afternoon getting this blog stuff all set up and just wondering if anyone will really use this. I really want you guys to for I think this can be the start of something really fun and different. Something to be a part of and share our likes and dis-likes. Talk about all the different kinds of music and how it affects our life and why. Just typing that,and it sounds interesting,don’t it? I have been thinking about doing these Podcast for a while now, how I would do them, where I would do them, about what and wonder if anyone would enjoy them. Well I just decided to do it and see if there was any interest whatsoever and if nothing else I would have fun, get to play with tech toys and go down memory lane and worry about the other stuff later. So,there ya have it. Guess I ought to go down to the garage and help Deanna do whatever it is she’s doing for if I don’t I may hear about it later!?!?!?!
